Use a dedicated support channel so visitor conversations route to the right representatives.

Before you install

  • Make sure you have Slack workspace admin rights
  • Create or identify the support channel that should receive visitor chats
  • Be ready to share the channel ID with Webless after setup

Install flow

Open the installation page

Open the staging install page and click Add to Slack.Open the staging installer

Authorize the app

Slack will show the requested permissions. Review them and click Allow.

Confirm the app appears in Slack

After installation, the app should appear in the Apps section of your Slack sidebar.

Add the app to your support channel

Open the app, choose Add this app to a channel, and select the support channel.

Copy the channel ID

Open the channel details, scroll to the bottom, and copy the Channel ID.

Send the channel ID to Webless

Share the copied channel ID with Webless so the support handoff can be completed.
